RUN4.3S
Our club activities are hinged in developing our member’s skills, since most are beginners in the field of photography. We have an annual Photo Safari which brings members into different parts of the country to experience its beauty and take part in helping the environment. The club also holds regular photography seminars ranging from Basic Photography to specialized crafts such as Wildlife and Macro Photography. This year, Nikon Club opens its doors to Non-Photographers and Non-Nikon users by launching a fun run for a cause dubbed as RUN 4.3s (pun intended to sound like trees and to look like an aperture opening) on August 13, at Bonifacio Global City. Runners and race enthusiasts are faced with unique race categories - 2.8K, 4K and 11K, numbers which photographers are familiar with as aperture openings (f2.8, f4 and f11). The run primarily aims to fund the Club’s Mangrove Planting Activity during the 2011 Photo Safari in Aurora. The Diteki-Baler Watershed in Aurora is home to some of the rare endemic species of birds in the Philippines, like the Philippine Dwarf Kingfisher. The club hopes to unite non-photographers and photographers (Nikon and Non-Nikon users alike) through this cause. Run 4.3s is co-presented by Nikon, Columbia Digital Star Corp., Setcheck Staging and Sandisk. The race is made possible by our official timer, RaceTech Timing, and our media partner, ANC Channel. The event is also supported by Bonifacio Global City, Toby’s Sports, RUNNR, Greenfield Development Corporation, and Setcheck Prints. Post a copy of this announcement at your offices!
